Description

L2 Apprentice CNC Machine Operator Apprentice required. The successful candidate will have a can-do attitude and will gain skills/knowledge working on CNC machinery at an established local company. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate. You will be setting up, programming and operating machines, and machining components to specifications.

Training Description:

Level 2 Lean Manufacturing Operative apprenticeship standard which includes:

·         Level 2 Diploma in Manufacturing (knowledge and skills)

·         Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)

Learning will take place in the workplace with the need to attend training with NSEGTA.

Full Description:

The successful candidate will shadow a skilled machine operator, benefiting from their many years of skill and expertise and will work towards being able to (but not limited to):

– Setting up, programming and operating machines
– Machining components to customer specifications
– Working to strict health and safety guidelines
– Being aware of and working to deadlines.

Other duties will include, keeping the workspace clean and tidy and other ad-hoc duties where required.

Outcome Description:

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to progress into full time employment following the completion of the apprenticeship and / or another apprenticeship.

Description of Working Week:

Monday – Thursday 8-00am until 4.45pm.
Friday 8-00 until 3-15pm.
